Time to stop and smell the roses this week. Our new assignment is to photograph flowers. Maybe a close up of your favorite flower or an entire field of flowers. Maybe you want to use it as a prop while you photograph your loved ones or favorite book. Here are a few older flower photos I have to get you thinking about your weekly shot. 

Week 3-Through the Window

While roaming around downtown today looking for an inspiring window I found two that interested me. This was the last window I found and I liked the fear I felt while photographing it. I felt like I could have possibly been in a horror movie where some scary villain could have eerily walked up to the window with some creepy weapon. Luckily this didn't happen. :)

We actually started our window search at my mother's old office across from Dagney's. I find it off that the lines in the window pane look like they are bent. Another eerie find from tonight. 

**Anyone notice that I accidentally put "Week 2" haha. This month has just flown by.

Happy Weekend Ladies and Gent!!!! The photo FUN this week is to shoot a WiNdOw!!! How fun is that going to be? I just love looking at old and new buildings and love windows:) (maybe you even have a love for Windows XP?) Who knows? Who wouldn't love windows...they bring in the amazing light that helps make our pics look awesome:) I LOVE opening all the windows in my house and my hubby hates that I'm letting in all of the heat, hahaha:) We seem to find a compromise though...I have attached some window pics to get your creative juices flowing...I know that I need all the help I can get;)

I remembered a photo I took sometime in college (so possibly 8 years ago.. wow) in which this cup was pouring out all of my jewelry on my bathroom floor. I remember really loving how that photo came out and it was the start of my love for photography. Here is my modern day version using the same thrift store tea cup that now has a missing handle. :)

On another note, those of you who like to take photos with your phones, go for it. I was close to posting one from my phone because I honestly didn't know if I'd be able to find the time to import and upload this week SO I even felt the desire to "cheat" and submit from my phone. We're busy people so snap your photos however you'd like. :)

Hopefully we all find something at the last minute so our first week isn't a complete wash. :( The next week will start on Sunday but I will be out of town so I will try to post the next challenge on Saturday morning before I leave. Week 1 of a 52 challenge week and our first challenge is .... well.... challenging! This week your photograph must include a balloon or bouquet of balloons. If you're like me, and don't have any little kid birthday parties this week, this will be tricky. Time to hunt for balloons!

Ok, a friend of mine found a new weekly themed challenge that seems more doable than our original 365 challenge. With the theme you can snap away all week but from what I understand, you submit just one photo per week. We can do this! I think this website needs a little revamping though SO if you still want to be an active part of this page leave a comment below. I think I want to redo the photo badges and include only the active members because some haven't posted anything in about a year.

That being said, let's start the new challenge! I'm going to add an extra challenge to those of you that own actual cameras to use those instead of phone pictures. This is going to be really hard for me because I love how easy it is to snap, edit and post photos from my iPhone but for this challenge I will be using my Nikon only.
